Sustainability

At Nile Valley Hotel we believe in doing our part for our community and the environment. Our products are sourced from local suppliers, allowing us to support our neighbors while providing jobs for the local population. When you arrive you’ll notice our hotel was built around two beautiful palm trees – we planted them ourselves 25 years ago and couldn’t bear to cut them down when we started construction.

Throughout the property, we use energy-saving lightbulbs to limit our energy usage, and we’re serious about recycling everything we can – from plastic bottles to cans and cardboard. Nothing goes to waste in our kitchen either: all the scraps go to feed the local animals. We try our best to cut down on laundry and paper waste. Want to help out? Please turn off your room air conditioning when you head out for the day!

It’s the little things that add up to make a real difference, and we’re grateful to our visitors for joining us in caring for this special place.
